The Luath Tour

Haven’t got much time? It is possible to get to MacLeod Country and back in only two days. This is a quick visit to the Isle of Skye, the home island of Clan MacLeod. ‘Luath’ is Gaelic for quick.

Day 1:

You are collected from your hotel in Edinburgh or the surrounding area. We drive to Skye, stopping at Glencoe, scene of an infamous massacre and then on to Fort William for lunch. We cross to Skye via the Skye bridge (or alternatively if time and conditions allow by the quaint Glenelg ferry). We drive to our accommodation near Dunvegan Castle, taking in views of the impressive Cuillin Mountains as we go. An evening meal will be arranged.

Day 2:

After breakfast it is a short drive to Dunvegan Castle, the highlight of the tour. We spend the morning exploring the Castle and Garden with me as your Guide. After lunch it is time for the return to Edinburgh via Loch Ness. We arrive back in Edinburgh (or vicinity) in the evening having stopped for dinner on the way.
